Fix-Up Fund Program

Brooklyn Center residents have the opportunity to participate in the Fix-Up Fund Program with a buy down of the interest rate on a home improvement loan.  The Fix-Up Fund Program is a home improvement loan program for owner-occupied properties. An owner can borrow between $2,000 and $50,000 for a maximum term of 20 years at 3%. Household income limit is $104,000 in the Twin Cities metro area.

Hennepin County Rehabilitation Loan Program

This program is administered by Hennepin County and offers deferred, no-interest home repair loans to homeowners up to 50% of metro area median income ($42,900 for a household of four). Also available are deferred loans with a modest interest charge for homeowners up to 80% of AMI ($65,700 for a household of four). Income limits will depend on your household size.
