ADAPT Methamphetamine Treatment Study
Summary: Hennepin Healthcare Research Institute, a local nonprofit organization, is recruiting participants for a research study to help reduce methamphetamine drug use in adult meth addicts. This study has IRB approval and is funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA). The doctor responsible for the research in this area is Dr. Gavin Bart. This study is being done to test if two medications used in combination can help to reduce or stop meth use. Researchers hope that this will help participants quit using or reduce their use, but the information learned from the study could lead to better care for others with drug use problems in the future. Participants can earn up to $1,160 for their participation and medications and medical care will be provided free of charge. Information will be kept completely confidential.
Location: Berman Center for Outcomes and Clinical Research (825 S. 8th Street, Suite 440. Minneapolis, MN 55404)
