69th Avenue Greenway/Cahlander Park Fence
Proposed construction includes replacing the wood fence along the north side of the 69th Avenue greenway between Brooklyn Boulevard and Palmer Lake Drive and the privacy fence on the west side of Cahlander Park. The City bid the project in 2016, but due to higher than expected bid amounts, it was determined to rebid the projects. Funding for staining the following year is also included as part of this project.
On May 19, 2017, a contract was awarded to Fenc-Co. Inc. for the Cahlander Park fence replacement. This fence is completed and will be stained in the fall of 2018.
The 69th Avenue fence went out for bid with an anticipated completion in July 2018. Fenc-Co. Inc. has been awarded the contract to finish the reminder of the 69th Avenue fence and will start on May 14; starting on the west end moving east. The sealing of both fences will be completed before the winter of 2018. A communication will be sent to each home affected by this project.
